	We've been seeing a rather peculiar issue where a handful of users report being unable to type in the Citrix session using CWA for HTML5.
</p>

<p>
	A workaround I've found that sometimes helps is pressing TAB, but this is only a workaround and these users would have to remember to hit TAB before they wanted to type. The mouse works fine, and the text cursor can be seen blinking and doing it's thing.
</p>

<p>
	What could be causing this? Most of our users use CWA for HTML5, but only a select few report this issue.

	Hi,

<p>
	We're observing that the session startup breaks after upgrading the HTML5 client from 24.4.0.20 to 24.4.1.12. We did not do the HTML5 plugin upgrade on purpose but noticed that the new release was included with StoreFront 2203 CU5 automatically. We needed to rollback the HTML5 plugin to get it working.
</p>

<p>
	Here's what the user session looks like, it never goes any further.

Since upgrading to 2306 when I try and start a virtual desktop session the session does not connect in the browser, it just says launching resource / retrieving ICA file. Within studio I can see a session connected but no user name, after 2 mins it disconnects and restarts the MCS desktop.

	Hi!
</p>

<p>
	I'm using Teams in a Citrix VDI, using Google Chrome as web client to connect.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	When I want to do a screen share in teams, I usually select the current tab (the VDI tab), and everything has worked flawlessly until today.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	The problem is that since the latest chrome update, starting in version 109, the current tab is no longer available in selecting what to share when doing a screen share. I believe this is due to "selfBroserSurface" setting, where chrome now defaults to "exclude".
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	"selfBroserSurface" is set to "exclude" for users to avoid doing the mirror effect, but for the Citrix screen share case, it blocks the screen sharing functionality.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I believe Citrix has to set the setting to "include" so that the screen sharing in teams in a html5 client functionality is back.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	If anyone else has a workaround, please say so.

	Hello, I have a simple scenario/question:

<ul><li>

	For a new project, they have to use the html5 client only.

<p>
	However from what I can see (or can not) is that HTML5 only provides a random generate HTML-XXXX-XXXX id for the user workstation. Is there any way to get it to use the actual client name like the receiver does?

	We are running XenApp 7.15 and we've noticed a strange thing happening, but only when using the HTML5 Receiver.
</p>

<p>
	When a published application launches, in the background Receiver launches. When it spawns the "SelfServicePlugin.exe" process, it displays a small, blank window with the title "Form1". When THAT process spawns "SelfService.exe", we see another small, blank window with the title "SelfServiceMain".
</p>

<p>
	Neither of these windows show up when launching the same application, from the same server, but using a "regular" Receiver... only when using the HTML5 Receiver.
</p>

<p>
	If I manually kill the "SelfService.exe" process, the "SelfServiceMain" window closes, but comes back eventually when doing its refresh. If I kill "SelfServicePlugin.exe", the "Form1" window closes and SelfService.exe nevers runs again.

	Trying to find a temp work around for the MacOS 11.6 issue with Workspace I enabled HTML5 if the Workspace App is not detected. This seemed to work great in testing. Once rolled out to all users all the issues started.
</p>

<p>
	1. Windows/MacOS users seem to randomly get the HTML5 version when they sign in the morning and start using. This caused confusion as I didn't expect to have to show everyone how to switch between versions as it SAYS it just works with the "native" Workspace App if installed and all of these where previously working correctly so why is it forcing some to HTML5? All users seem to be able to manually switch back by doing the detect receiver thing.
</p>

<p>
	2. Seems all of my RHEL 7.9-8.4 users are stuck with HTML5 with MOST having no option to switch. "Change Citrix Receiver..." is simply missing. Others do seem to have the Change Citrix Receiver but doing the change does nothing and the HTML5 version keeps launching.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I've tried all the normal voodoo on the RHEL users.. uninstall ICA reinstall ICA, beta ICA, old ICA.. nothing.. At least 1 prior working user does not even have the ICA association in FireFox.. so I have no idea how was working prior but I'm 100% sure he was.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Why.. why does nothing Citrix ever work as advertised? Why does support always, always, insist they've never heard of my issue before and I'm the only admin in the world having "this/any" issue I bring up?
</p>

<p>
	Citrix is literally supposed to remove the complication of running some of these apps on separate OS's and make it seamless. Why do I spend so much time fighting with it?
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	There are several other little things with HTML5 that don't work as advertised.. For example launching more than 1 apps may or may not open that app in the existing tab. Maybe it opens a new tab only with itself, maybe it opens in an existing tab.. I think it has to do with what virtual server is hosting but why isn't this explained and or why can't Citrix come up with a way to make it work all in 1 tab or only 1 tab per app? Why not be able to move apps between tabs so I can group them ..
</p>

<p>
	but that's get ahead of myself..

<p>
	We're currently using Citrix Workspace for HTML5 version 1912, but I have plans to upgrade that this evening.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	EDIT: Turns out this is only an issue since these users are accessing our Citrix environment through a Citrix Virtual Desktop provided by their company.

	Hi,
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I am using HTML5 Receiver 21.1.0.4164 and connecting to a published Desktop . When the PDF file is opened in Adobe Acrobat Reader printing via Citrix PDF Printer will fail with followed error: <img alt="image.png.700e32b6cdc3add9aab4501a3dc3f354.png" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" data-fileid="44670" width="383" src="//media.invisioncic.com/r328636/monthly_2021_02/image.png.700e32b6cdc3add9aab4501a3dc3f354.png" loading="lazy" height="145.54"><span> </span>
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	When the file is opened in browser or another PDF Reader (not Acrobat Reader) it will print successfully.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Anyone an idea how I can fix this?
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Thanks

	Hello,
</p>

<p>
	since the last Workspace App for HTML5 update (2103) all key combinations do not work anymore for some users (for example CTRL+C, CTRL+V etc.).<br>
	Some users are using a ThinClient with only one browser installed. Therefore, access is only possible via the HTML5 variant.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Is it possible to downgrade to the previous version?<br>
	We did not have the problems there.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Or is there another solution for the problem with the keyboard shortcuts?
</p>

<p>
	Hi everyone,
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I did few upgrades of the latest StoreFront and noticed the new HTML5 receiver.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	My question is how do you control the black area with the app icons at the very bottom of the screen. That was not there before. I can r-click there and I see few options to "auto hide" but is there a way to disable it for all users just like it was not present in the older HTML5 receiver?
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Thank you
</p>

	Hallo,
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	ich habe ein Porteus Kiosk Client, auf welchem ein Firefox läuft.
</p>

<p>
	Es ist die Navigationsleiste und die Adressleiste ausgeschaltet. Wenn ich jetzt die Storefront Webseite öffne, kann ich mich einloggen und sehe meine verfügbaren Desktops.
</p>

<p>
	Wenn ich versuche einen Desktop zu öffnen, bekomme ich die Meldung "Citrix Workspace app cannot launch app". Wenn ich die Navigationsleiste aktiviere, funktioniert alles bestens.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Was kann ich tun?

	I'm using Citrix through Firefox on Ubuntu. If I press the Alt key once, it sticks (not physically) and won't become undone until I log out and back into Citrix.
</p>

<p>
	Its annoying as not only does it require resetting, but I can't use shortcuts. Does anyone know a fix? I really miss Alt tab!
</p>

<p>
	Thanks

	Hi all,<br>

</p>

<p>
	I have published an internal website via Citrix Workspace using Google Chrome and Workspace App for HTML5.
</p>

<p>
	As a part of the website functionality, users download and upload files to/from their clients.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	1st issue
</p>

<p>
	My challenge is that I though if I save/copy files to "Save To My Device", files would be immediately downloaded to the client. It is not happening though and users need to download files from the website to the "Save To My Device" drive first, then as a second step use the Workspace App for HTML5 upper menu to download them to their clients. Is this a normal behaviour? <br>
	Files are only immadiately downloaded to the clients when using (right click) "Send To" -&gt; "My Device" option.<br><br>
	2nd issue<br>
	I cannot force Google Chrome to download files to "Save To My Device" drive by default. When I use the "Set download directory" Group Policy option to "Save To My Device" it ignores it and still saves files to the Download folder instead. Am I missing something?<br><br>
