	Did anything change in the last couple of months with the silent Cloud Connector command line installation?
</p>

<p>
	The quiet switch quits unexpectedly complaining about API authentication. This has all been configured correctly as per documentation and previous installations using the same process were working.
</p>

<p>
	Manually installing Cloud Connector is working.
</p>

<p>
	Older versions of Cloud Connector software not working either.
</p>

<p>
	Maybe the introduction to service principals has broken something?

	I have my VDA resource location in both On-Prem and Azure. Currently I have separate On-Prem CVAD sites to house on-prem VDA and Azure VDA respectively. I'm planning to migrate to Citrix DaaS. I'm not sure if it's recommended to install Citrix Cloud Connector (Windows server) or Citrix Connector Appliance for Cloud Services (in Azure market place). Can I have Citrix Connector Appliance (in Azure market place) to act a communication to Citrix DaaS from on-prem VDA and Azure VDA, or do I require to have onPrem Citrix Cloud Connector installed for on-prem VDA and Citrix Connector Appliance for Azure VDA?

<p>
	Silent Installation of Citrix Cloud connector fails when the installation is triggered from a remote computer.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	What I am trying to achieve ?
</p>

<p>
	I want to automate Citrix Cloud connector Installation for a given resource location of a citrix customer and followed the steps given in the citrix documentation for silent installation.
</p>

<p>
	<a href="https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-cloud/citrix-cloud-resource-locations/citrix-cloud-connector/installation.html#command-line-installation-non-interactive" rel="external nofollow">https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-cloud/citrix-cloud-resource-locations/citrix-cloud-connector/installation.html#command-line-installation-non-interactive</a>
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	What actually happens?
</p>

<p>
	Developed a script which takes the required input parameters from the user and starts the silent installation.
</p>

<p>
	The automation script works fine when the script is called from the same hostname where cloud connector needs to be installed.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	The installation fails when it is triggered from remote server.  During this installation process,
</p>

<ul><li>
		Installs 4 citrix packages.  (Citrix cloud connector, Agent System Agent logger, Agent WatchDog)
	</li>
	<li>
		Waits for 60 seconds (approx)
	</li>
	<li>
		Uninstalls the 4 packages
	</li>
</ul><p>

</p>

<p>
	While verifying the citrix cloud installation logs, it is unable to set a signing key.  A warning message of pipe failure with access denied as shown here is logged for few seconds before failing with the error. I used the domain Administrator credentials and this installation works when running the automatic installation batch file from the same host.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Any pointers is very much appreciated. (Attached the failure log also)

	I have 2 on-prem Cloud Connectors and 1 in Azure, all registered to the one Citrix Cloud Resource Location.
</p>

<p>
	I forced an outage on the on-prem servers to test connectivity to the Azure server, however VDAs would sometimes register to the (primary) on-prem server and sometimes to the Azure server. When registering to the offline on-prem server they appear Unregistered in DaaS, but appear Registered if they hit the Azure server.
</p>

<p>
	Is this how it is supposed to work, and if so then roughly 50% of our PVS Pooled VDAs would become Unregistered in an on-prem datacentre outage, where the Azure Cloud Connector would continue to provide access to Registered VDAs.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I know a workaround could be to update Group Policy to only contain the Azure Cloud Connector and restart the VDA service, but that is a manual intervention we had hoped to avoid.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Is there a trick to get the Cloud Connectors to failover to a fully functioning server rather than become a collection of Offline (using LHC) and Online servers, both accessible to the VDAs?
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	thanks.

	Hello Everyone,
</p>

<p>
	I have one design related question and would be grateful if someone can assist on this.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	background: I have multiple Azure subscriptions (management, test and production) and planning to deploy vdis soon.
</p>

<p>
	Management subscription is dedicated for IT infrastructure or you can say supporting infrastructure.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	my doubt is which one is the best option to place cloud connector in Azure and why ?
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Design1: Deploy 2 cloud connector in Management subscription for redundancy and vdis session host in multiple production subscriptions but little worry if something break between subscription then what will be the impact on users? This approach is saving number of cloud connectors required.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Design2: Deploy 2 Cloud connector in each production subscription instead of management subscription.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Experts , please shed some light on this
</p>

	In our testing of Citrix Workspace, all VDAs remained on-prem so I'm not sure why updates to these machine catalogs would in any way be impacted by the presence of the CC. <p>
	 I've downloaded the Setup from Citrix Cloud and run it. Sign in works Setup is running through and it seems all is done. Setup Window Closes. But there is no Connection to the Cloud. Checking the install logs i found this error, and i have no clue what the issue is.

<p>
	I have no more idea. I'm not really sure if there is a Connection between the results of the Cloud Connector Connectivity Check and the error. The Connectivity Checks the Setup does  upfront will pass without issues.

	So at the moment we are playing with a trial subscription to Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktop Service (CVADS). We have installed several cloud connectors and I have successfully deployed a Windows 2016 Session host via MCS to our on Premise SCVMM Cluster and connected to it via the Cloud Portal. All working wonderfully.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	In our on premise installation we use SCCM to manage images via the SCCM Conector 3.1 and I noticed that MCS on the cloud offers the same option (to restart updated image later if using SCCM). Does anyone know if it is possible to configure the SCCM connector to work with CVADS and if so How? Do we specify the Cloud Connector as a Citrix Delivery Controller?

<p>
	We've had an issue after last auto patch of our Cloud Connectors on Saturday Nov 2nd, after this patching all of our resource locations spanning 3 different timezones have all intermittently failed their connectivity test.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	As of Monday all the Cloud Connectors failed on the same errors.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	"We are Unable to connect to the following addresses"
</p>

<p>
	https://........ ( not sure if i can post this URL as it has our company name in it)
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	As of Tuesday somehow half the connectors are now stable.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	As of this morning the only one site has this same error.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	There's nothing on our networking side that would point to a local problem that spanned across three geo loactions.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	There's no proxy involved, if we go the website that it says it fails on through a web browser it 100% works all the time.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	We uninstalled and reinstalled latest connector no avail, ran wireshark and it showed some TCP retransmissions to that URL but that is about it.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Support is trying to escalate and at the same time on Saturday we lost all our metrics on Cloud Director.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Any insight on this issue, is this a widespread issue with other companies with the latest patch possibly,.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I'm also thinking it could be a load balancing issue on Cloud side as this is intermittent if I continue to click on the connectivity test it will succeed but then a few more times it will then fail.
</p>
