Greetings gents,

I was wondering if there is a way to sign-out the login session for workspace app without affecting the ICA session launched.

In storefront its configurable for receiver for web, this sesison timeout will allow to sign-out users from the web page and keep ica session launched.

Is this doable for workspace? having users to signout from auth session but ICA session runnung?

Would you like to download it now? The "Yes" button won't actually download it but I found the exact download on dotnet.Microsoft.com Downloaded the .exe and installed it.

The above will still NOT install. Same window pops up. I've been using Citrix for my work's remote login - for a handful of years. First time I've had a problem like this.

The update on the installation was initiated as I can no longer log in in Edge or Chrome (an .ica file keeps popping up). Firefox will let me log in but the interface is unfamiliar and wonky (square cursor, etc.).

Called my IMS team but they don't recognize what's happening. Any help would be MOST appreciated - thank you!

	Hello,

Has anyone been able to achieve SSO passthrough to when authenticating to Citrix Cloud Workspace via Okta as IDP to an on-premise VDAs Windows OS server?

It works fine when using on internal Storefront deployment, but the same app accessed from Citrix cloud workspace prompt for Windows server user credential...

We have populated users in Okta from on-premise domain controllers, same domain the VDAs are on.

Necessary attributes are correctly sync (cip_upn_, sid, oid, etc).

Is it at least supposed to work? :D

Documentation says it should either via using FAS (which we want to avoid, or by correctly configuring Citrix Workspace App, which we have.

Thanks to anyone who has feedback to share on this specific problem.

	Antoine.

Since the release into the real world, I've not yet been able to get the slimcore version working for Microsoft Teams. The Event Log which shows an error of Event ID 0, shows in the XML a plugin error. I've noticed in the ICA directory on my endpoint that there is no MsTeamsPluginCitrix.dll. So it's suggestive that although the plugin was installed with the /installMSTeamsPlugin switch and is visible in appwiz.cpl it does not seem to be changing from Citrix HDX Optimized to Slimcore. I've checked and double checked and I have the virtual channels configured, but I still get a plugin error in event viewer. I'll provided more insights soon.

We've just been hit by yet another instance of bad error handling from Citrix in general.

One of our 6 Citrix client sesssion servers (Virtual APP) had run out of space on some disks.
This caused all connected users to either become disconnected and unable to connect or with temporary profiles connect to other Citrix servers; becoming handicapped users (not access to all systems).
Also prevents some new users from connecting, because they are being distributed to that same faulting server.

I don't understand how one server going "bad" can create so many problems and the system itself doesn't just quickly find alternatives or isolate the problem creating server.

	1. Don't assign new users to the server; since it has low space and needs human attention. Because if it runs OUT of space, all hell breaks loose!

	2. If a user reconnects and has a session on the faulting server; ask them to relocate to another server (give them the option to log out of the faulting server and be assigned another).

 - They can choose to reconnect, if they have important stuff going on in the session or relocate, loosing any unsaved work; but that will be their choice and it will alleviate a problematic situation by removing a user from the equation.

I can think of many more automatic responses to any problem situation, that I think the Citrix system should employ. Far too many times some odd little problem (low space) seems to create much larger systemic problems for us, which could be handled or mitigated quite quickly and easily by automatic mitigation, before users even notice there is a problem.

But noo... a server behaving badly? Lets just keep assigning users!
A server seems to mishandle all users assigned (lots of user connection issues), so it doesn't have many users? Well, here, have some more!
- IT SHOULD STOP BEING ASSIGNED USERS IF IT STARTS HAVING ANY KIND OF PROBLEMS!

Citrix developers!
Work on your DDC's so they gain some bloody intelligence in assigning users and monitoring the system for problems...

Light up the alarm board instead and stop assigning users to faulty servers!

	Hey all,

I arleady opened a case with citrix but I want to know if some of you have the same issue as me.

So we are currently updating CWA 2303 to 2402 LTSR CU1 to patch the latest vulnerability. CWA 2303 did not have the .NET Runtime 8 prerequisite, but 2402 LTSR CU1 does have.

Now we can see that when .NET Runtime Desktop 8 Security update are installing, Citrix Workspace application close while installing, and open again after. So Workspace and Citrix published application / desktop are closing while users are working.

Is this the "normal" behavior since Desktop Runtime was added as a new prerequisite since CWA version 2309?

	Thanks

Citrix Workspace

We are a contractor for T-Mobile. T-Mobile's system has issues if clients use a version of Citrix Workspace newer than 2309.1

We have version 2309.1 available on our Company Portal and users can get that installed. But, shortly after install of 2309.1, the software automatically upgrades to the latest version (24.5.0.131), which causes issues.

We have tried two different registry settings to turn auto upgrade off:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Citrix\ICA Client\AutoUpdate\EnableAutoUpdate (0)
HKLM\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Citrix\ICA Client\Engine\Lockdown Profiles\All Regions\Lockdown\Virtual Channels\Client Update (default was '*', tried 'False')

Neither of these registry settings work to stop the auto upgrade.

How do we turn auto upgrade off?

	I've already tried:

	- clean install by doing cleanup and still fails with the same,

	- upgrade from lower version with autoupdate - fails with the same,

	- install without Teams VDI plugin but fails with the same.

Lower version 24.2.1000.1016 works perfectly fine however need to resolve above issues with the newer one due to compliance.

Please verify and let me know how can I fix it.
Hi All,

Following issue occurs: After successful Login and seeing the sessions, attempting to load the session and a short notification comes up that session is loaded but it actually doesn't appear on the screen.

	Following i tried:

Re-Install same client 23.09.0.99 - note currently update of the client is not allowed due company rules with /forceinstall

followed assumption resolution is to high, changed Scale from 150 to 100% -> effect Session is appearing but not properly loaded -> hitting ALT + TAB it disappears

changed resolution to a lower one -> no effect

disabled one of the GPU tried to start session again -> no effect

Installed Virtualbox -> W11 virtualized -> Workspace Client -> worked

Current assumption is that somehow the GPU is not supported how it is installed on the on the machine with the drivers.

	Machine Specs:

 Asus ROG Zeyphrus G16

AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370

 32 GB RAM

 AMD Radeon 890M

 NVIDIA Geforce RTX 4070

 Windows 11 - Build: 26100.1301 - 24H2

This seems to be a very machine specific issue in terms of the combination. Any Help suggestion would be highly appreciated.

	Hello @all

i´m testing the new CSI described here: https://www.citrix.com/blogs/2024/09/30/introducing-the-new-connection-strength-indicator-say-goodbye-to-connectivity-woes/

I test it with some silicon MacOS 14.x / 15.0.1 and the CWA 24.09.0.54. Everything looks fine for my NetScaler connections, but i see for every connection that i´m using a HTML5 connection - see here:

I´m wonder why there is a HTML5 transport protocol connection. I´m using the Full-CWA Client and HTML5 is disabled on Storefront. In the explanation video from Citrix i see also the same:

Has anyone here already gained experience and knows why HTML5 appears here as the transport protocol?

Best regards,
Michael

	Hello everyone,

I am not able to see shared screens while using Teams in the Citrix receiver; however, I was able to do that before the last update from Sequoia and even having the latest version of Workspace.

I know there is a 0-day support to this new OS and maybe this was already raised.

Does someone else have the same issue?
