	First of all, good job for the ARM 64 version. Really good to run Citrix on a PI400 with Raspi 64.
</p>

<p>
	But there is a problem: the file PDCRYPT2.DLL is not shipped with the ARM 64 versions (deb and tar.gz).
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Was it simply forgotten?
</p>

<p>
	Could an updated version with this file be posted on the website.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	The other issue is that the armhf version does not work well on a Raspi 64 bit version. Screen is not refreshed after the initial repaint. I think events are still passed to the remote, but local screen is not updated.
</p>

<p>
	This is a fallback, the native 64 bit version would be the best solution.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Thank you

<p>
	Hi,<br>
	Using Citrix Workspace app ver 1912 on Ubuntu (Lubuntu) linux version 19.04 on an Asus Chromebox CN60.
</p>

<p>
	The Citrix app is the latest, released Dec 12, 2019<br>
	I am using the x86_64 file from:<br>
	https://www.citrix.com/downloads/workspace-app/linux/workspace-app-for-linux-latest.html
</p>

<p>
	We are testing Linux on these chromeboxes for the first time, since Google won’t be issuing any more ChromeOS updates on them.<br>
	 <br>
	The boxes work well, but we are having one issue, which is that copy and paste works intermittently when logged into Citrix..<br>
	More specifically, the copy command does not always copy the selected contents into the clipboard.<br>
	This happens using either Ctrl+C or using the mouse doing Right click/Copy.<br>
	 <br>
	So for example, I open Word, and I create the text:<br>
	1111 2222 3333<br>
	Then I double click “1111” and hit Ctrl+C. Then I paste on a new line and I get “1111” as I should.<br>
	Then I double click “2222” and hit Ctrl+C. Then I paste again, but I still get “1111” again instead of the new text “2222” that I just copied. So, “2222” was never copied into the clipboard.<br>
	 <br>
	I did a test of 10 lines, copying and pasting 10 items, and this happens about 50% of the time.<br>
	 <br>
	I checked the local OS and did a bunch of cutting and pasting there, and it works fine.<br>
	So, this is something with the Citrix client.<br>
	Can anyone give me any ideas on what to check?<br>
	Thanks.
</p>

<p>
	Okay, so I installed nsepa.deb from my company's store and added a mime handler for nsgcepa:// like this:
</p>

<pre class="ipsCode prettyprint lang-html prettyprinted">
<span class="pln">xdg-mime default nsgcepa.desktop x-scheme-handler/nsgcepa</span></pre>

<p>
	Now it seems like my browser is at least calling the EPA executable /opt/Citrix/Browser-EPA/nsgcepa, but unfortunately it fails with the following error message:
</p>

<pre class="ipsCode prettyprint lang-html prettyprinted">
<span class="pln">sh: /home/myuser/.citrix/: Is a directory</span></pre>

<p>
	I can see this error in my shell for all the ways the EPA executable is being called:
</p>

<ul><li>
		with Firefox
	</li>
	<li>
		with Chrome
	</li>
	<li>
		with the Citrix Workspace App for Chrome
	</li>
	<li>
		when I call the executable directly in the shell (/opt/Citrix/Browser-EPA/nsgcepa)
	</li>
</ul><p>

</p>

<p>
	So what's wrong? How can I fix /opt/Citrix/Browser-EPA/nsgcepa?
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	P.S.: My system is Arch Linux. I know it's not officially supported, but I think we should manage to get it working, though.

	I see that this question has been already asked at least twice in the past (almost 3 and 4 years ago) with no answers, but maybe something changed in the meantime, so here it is again: Is it possible to configure Citrix Workspace App for Linux to ask the VDA to scale the remote desktop with a given factor, like 125%, 150%, 175%, ...? This is very important when using high resolution displays, like 4K. Without scaling, the Windows GUI elements (window title bars, desktop icon titles, etc.) appear extremely small in Citrix sessions and are tiring for human eyes. Workspace App for Windows can do that, so the VDAs are ready for this feature.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I will be very thankful for any suggestions.

	I post this here, because I could not find a better contact.
</p>

<p>
	I tested on Fedora 40 Workstation. I noticed a problem in:<br />
	ICAClient-rhel-24.2.0.65-0.x86_64.rpm<br />
	Problem is present in the current latest version (and possibly all version in between 2405, 2408):<br />
	ICAClient-rhel-24.11.0.85-0.x86_64.rpm<br />
	<a href="https://www.citrix.com/downloads/workspace-app/linux/workspace-app-for-linux-latest.html" rel="external nofollow">https://www.citrix.com/downloads/workspace-app/linux/workspace-app-for-linux-latest.html</a><br />
	Newer beta version not available.
</p>

<p>
	Problem is not present in:<br />
	ICAClient-23.11.0.82-0.x86_64
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	In CWA 2411 problem at:
</p>

<pre class="ipsCode">$ rpm -q --scripts ICAClient
postinstall scriptlet (using /bin/sh):
    /opt/Citrix/ICAClient/util/integrate.sh
...
$ vim /opt/Citrix/ICAClient/util/integrate.sh
...
    if [ ! -z "${SU_INSTALL}" ] || [ ! -z ${PKG_INSTALL} ]; then
        # Create citrixlog user if not exists
        local citrixlog_uid
        if ! id -u citrixlog &gt; /dev/null 2&gt;&amp;1; then
            citrixlog_uid=$(find_available_uid)
            useradd -u $citrixlog_uid -d /var/log/citrix -s /sbin/nologin -g nogroup citrixlog
            mkdir -p /var/log/citrix
            chown -R citrixlog:nogroup /var/log/citrix
        fi
    fi
...</pre>

<p>
	You use a group name that is not used on RHEL-family distributions. In `cat /etc/group` you see:
</p>

<ul>
	<li>
		on Debian 12: nogroup:x:65534:
	</li>
	<li>
		on Fedora 40 and RHEL 9: nobody:x:65534:
	</li>
</ul>

<p>
	You are using a group name, without making sure it exists. Hence commands fail:
</p>

<pre class="ipsCode"># useradd -u $citrixlog_uid -d /var/log/citrix -s /sbin/nologin -g nogroup citrixlog
useradd: group 'nogroup' does not exist
# mkdir -p /var/log/citrix
# chown -R citrixlog:nogroup /var/log/citrix
chown: invalid user: 'citrixlog:nogroup'</pre>

<p>
	Error messages are displayed in the RPM's installation output. Please, improve your quality assurance. With the broken configuration CWA messages are written to system log (`journalctl` on Fedora 40).
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I would change:
</p>

<pre class="ipsCode">citrixlog_uid=$(find_available_uid)
useradd -u $citrixlog_uid -d /var/log/citrix -s /sbin/nologin -g nogroup citrixlog
mkdir -p /var/log/citrix
chown -R citrixlog:nogroup /var/log/citrix</pre>

<p>
	to:
</p>

<pre class="ipsCode"># GID: using number because it is identical, but name differs: Debian=nogroup, RHEL=nobody
useradd -r -d /var/log/citrix -s /sbin/nologin -g 65534 citrixlog
# not using "useradd -m" to avoid files from "/etc/skel", hence manual folder creation
mkdir -p /var/log/citrix
# fix broken installations (2402 till 2411)
chown -R citrixlog:`id -gn citrixlog` /var/log/citrix</pre>

<p>
	and delete the "find_available_uid" section.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Maybe you want to set the useradd option "-U/--user-group", "-N/--no-user-group", or "-r, --system"? The latter starts below regular user IDs and decreases. See `man useradd` and examples below (created on Fedora 40).
</p>

<pre class="ipsCode"># useradd -r -d /var/log/citrix -s /sbin/nologin -g 65534 citrixlog1
# getent passwd citrixlog1 # GID 65534 = nobody/nogroup (shared group)
citrixlog1:x:969:65534::/var/log/citrix:/bin/nologin

# useradd -r -N -d /var/log/citrix -s /sbin/nologin citrixlog2
# getent passwd citrixlog2 # GID 100 = users (shared group)

	How to eliminate this "Citrix Workspace" "Connecting..." popup annoyance in CWAL/Citrix Workspace App for Linux?<br>
	<br>
	We have an automated login setup with AD pass through that launches the customer's assigned desktop automatically following successful login via an AD lock screen.  It's otherwise a very "Physical Windows"-esque experience, save for this one vexxing popup.  I'm nearly about to just run a background routine to find and hide it, should it ever try to show itself!  ...But I'd rather not waste the effort if there's some sort of configuration option available to me.  The closest option I've found is the wfica option "-quiet" as described here: <a href="https://developer-docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-workspace-app-for-linux/citrix-workspace-app-for-linux-oem-reference-guide/reference-information#:~:text=Suppress%20connection%20dialogs" rel="external nofollow">https://developer-docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-workspace-app-for-linux/citrix-workspace-app-for-linux-oem-reference-guide/reference-information#:~:text=Suppress connection dialogs</a>
</p>

<p>
	Part of the problem is we're also running IGEL OS, so creativity is required to resolve....  So far I haven't gotten anywhere with IGEL on eliminating this popup on OS 11 or OS12. (Yes I've asked in the IGEL Community and IGEL Support)
</p>

<p>
	The only, and closest reference to it I've been able to find otherwise is from an ancient MIT Solaris Citrix configuration, of all things: <a href="https://stuff.mit.edu/afs/net/project/citrix/arch/sun4x_59/Wfica#:~:text=initialization%20dialog%0A!%0A%0AWfica*-,InitPanel_popup,-.title%3A%09Citrix%20ICA" rel="external nofollow">https://stuff.mit.edu/afs/net/project/citrix/arch/sun4x_59/Wfica#:~:text=initialization dialog ! Wfica*-,InitPanel_popup,-.title%3A Citrix ICA</a>

<p>
	All, I am just an end-user, but I am trying to figure out why the workspace app (version 2004) for Linux is basically unusable for me due to latency. On my Mac I am using workspace version 2005 and have zero issues, everything works as I'd expect and I can interact with my remote desktop easily. As soon as I switch over to my Linux system, where I have workspace version 2004 installed, my connection to my remote desktop is pointless. It connects, and I can see everything, but a single click of the mouse takes ~30 seconds to respond.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I've attempted to turn on debug logging, but nothing pops up that hints at any issues. I've tried both the DEB Linux package, as well as the tarball Linux package, just to see if anything changed but it didn't. Googling around I've seen some suggestions for config settings, but that doesn't seem to help.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Any ideas or places to look to try and figure out what is happening? I don't have anyway to see what is going on at the other end (server side) as I am just a user of the system in this case.

	Citrix Browser Content Redirection does not work with CWAL2311. Browser showes only a blank page with "Redireting ...". Revert to CWAL2309, BCR works without issues.
</p>

</p>

<p>
	Checked with several ubuntu OS editions. But only with CWAL2309 and lower editions, BCR works.

	Running Citrix Workspace on a Raspberry Pi is no longer as easy as it used to be.
</p>

<p>
	Since the begin of 2023 a few regressions have broken what used to be a fantastic user experience.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	The last working version is 2303 (March).
</p>

<p>
	Anything after 2303 can connect but the video is not refreshed after the initial image is drawn.
</p>

<p>
	64 bit version: a missing file (reported elsewhere in these forums) makes the connection impossible.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I have tried with the previous OS (11-bullseye) and the new one (12-bookworm), 32 bit, 64 bit and the situation is common to all of them.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	On top of that, in the most recent version of the OS (12-bookworm), once the section is disconnected, a new connection crashes the desktop session.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	In my opinion Citrix+Pi is a fantastic union, and it would be very sad if it were left in the current broken state.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Regards

	Hey all,
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I have been trying to use the storebrowse utility provided in the Workspace App for Linux and it works as expected. The only issue is that I get a EULA in an UI dialog box which the user must accept in order to use the storebrowse utility.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Is there a workaround for this issue using linux commands?
</p>
